this is going to happen. the check has been written. nick has met her and loved her. she arrives either tomorrow or easter sunday. this is her milk. and it is delicious. we must spend, happily, nick's birthday morning preparing the barn and the barnyard crew for her arrival. cheese, yogurt, icecream, and butter are all nearly within my reach. unless the check receivers are really just swindlers....but i don't think they are. i think we may actually welcome our cow this very weekend.
happy fridays to you.
happy birthday to nick.
That is so exciting! Congratulations! It's an inspiration to watch two people living their dream.
ReplyDeleteI am so envious of you and your soon-arriving family cow! The very moment my two kids are old enough to be OK with waking to an empty house, Dad out doing chores and Mama out milking the cow, I too will have a dairy cow. Just one. Just for us. And some to share with the hogs, I'm sure. In the meantime, I will relish all of your dairy posts. And Happy Birthday Nick! What could be better than a Gift Cow?
